I bought this cleaner based on the reviews I read on here. I am pleased with the cleaner, it cleaned the carpet very well. My carpet had not been cleaned before and I have pets so I cleaned the carpet twice as the water was very dirty the first time. I went over the carpet after cleaning without any solution to suck up excess water. The carpet was only slightly damp afterwards. I haven’t used the tools yet. It takes a little practice to get used to it. I found an online video useful. It’s best to work in lines, as if mowing the grass, so you keep track of where you have been. The cleaner needs to be lifted slightly onto the back wheels to go forward. The cleaning happens when you pull it backwards. I didn’t find it heavy as some people have said. It’s a good size but I thought worth the storage space and the fold down handle is helpful for storage. I thought the build quality was good. Changing the tanks is straightforward and putting a shower head inside the dirty water tank is great for cleaning it out. I would recommend buying additional detergent before you start as the sample enclosed doesn’t last long as the clean water tank empties quite quickly. Overall I am very pleased with the rug doctor and think it is a good investment that will last for many years.

Rug Doctor 1093170 Deep Carpet Cleaner. Arrived well packed in its retail carton. Excellent build quality, very small amount of assembly required to attach tanks and wand, easy to use and completes a very thorough carpet cleaning job. Far, far better than just a vacuum cleaner, worked exceptionally well at cleaning in and around the door areas, which had attracted marks etc. from regular use and footwear.

Excellent carpet cleaner didn't realise how dirty my carpets and sofa were. The tool for stairs and sofa very easy to fit and all in all best electrical product I have ever bought. Highly recommend the rug doctor, you will not be disappointed.

Very effective carpet cleaner. In fact it was a bit embarrassing to see how dirty the waste water was after cleaning my carpets. The suction is very good meaning that carpets dry within a couple of hours. The cleaner has a solid feel, but is very manoeuvrable with its large wheels and has a decent length of power cord. The only negative would be that I would have liked higher capacities for cleaning fluid and waste water to reduce the frequency of refilling/emptying.

Excellent! It brings the carpets up really fresh and clean with very little effort on my part. Easy to empty and full up. Surprising how dirty the water gets which shows how deep it is cleaning. Would def buy this again.

I. already own the hand held one. I love this shampooer. I live on my own, it was already assembled, and almost ready to use It’s so simple to use and to clean Very effficient too Absolutely wonderful!
