Another great electrical item from Russell Hobbs! Exactly as expected, very stylish and thanks to AO arrived very quickly.

It looks great. The design is contemporary and it's really quiet. Lovely to have in the kitchen. Unfortunately it's my first plastic kettle and I am unnerved about the lack of marketing information on BPA from Russell Hobbs. Only reviewer feedback let's me know its BPA free. Which is quite a big thing. It does have a very particular taste that I can only attribute to it being plastic. I cant taste in coffee but tea has a synthetic plastic aftertaste. The steam smells plastic too. I have used it several times over a week and its unfortunately still there. I do wish i had read the reviews first before purchasing on looks. Its does have strong points but clearly what it looks like versus what it actually does are two separate functions. I would rather it was ugly and made good tea! Lesson learnt.

Really nice design, only lost a star because it's more gray than in the photo and I did like the hint of blue. Lid opens easily and no splashes when pouring! Boils quickly and fairly quiet compared to our last kettle.
