Why did I wait so long

    5/5
I love baking. I was given a stand mixer but it frustrated me because it just didn’t do a very good job. So it sat on the counter and I refused to use it, instead making do the electric hand mixers. Friends had told me how good their KitchenAid mixers were, but I just didn’t feel I could justify the investment. I’ve also started to make bread and when my aunt told me she uses her KitchenAid to knead the dough I decided to buy one. The day it arrived I used it to make a cake with almost 1.5kg of ingredients. The blade picked up every bit of the mix from the bottom and sides of the bowl. Having 10 speeds makes it very easy to start slow and speed up gradually. It’s not noisy like my other machine. It feels very solid and it’s very easy to clean. No holes in the metal jug /basin, so no need to worry about water collecting in it. I have since made bread and it kneads the dough effortlessly. And it looks amazing! I wish I had bought it two years ago. Absolutely love it.

    Fantastic mixer!

    5/5
I have wanted one of these mixers for a while after seeing them being used in various cooking shows. This didn't disappoint, and has made baking with my children much easier, much less messy and much more enjoyable for everyone!! Great mixer, well made, very versatile and looks gorgeous in my new kitchen!

    Artisan mixer

    5/5
This is fabulous powerful and compact machine. No job to small or big, the machine is stable and doesn’t move on my work surface when on a high speed. The machine is slightly noisy but I don’t mind that, the pros certainly out weigh the cons. I would definitely recommend this mixer, great purchase.

Walk softly and carry a big mixer...

The old adage that you get what you pay for is certainly true of this stand mixer. Sure, KitchenAid are understandably playing on their Bake Off recognition, but there's a reason the design of these machines hasn't changed for ages. Basically, the motor on a mixer is everything, and that's where the money goes with a KitchenAid. It's a tank of a thing and reassuringly heavy, yet really quiet as well. The planetary action ensures you reach everything in the bowl, and I love how you can fit even the oldest KitchenAid attachments to it as well.
