Fridge Temperature Too Warm
2/5
I don’t usually write reviews as I don’t often have the time or much to say about products, This may be my first ever review of anything, however I felt this was worth highlighting. We recently upgraded to the Beko HarvestFresh ASD2442VPS because we liked the HarvestFresh idea, especially since our young son eats a lot of fruits and vegetables.
We've now had two of these units and eventually replaced it with an LG, accepting the restocking fee AO charged and paying extra for the LG one. We just wanted it gone.
The issue we had was with the fridge temperature. Even after 12 hours with no fridge door opening and it set to coldest setting, the temperature inside was 8-9°C.
We had a lot of food spoiling much quicker than with our 10year old Bosch fridge. At one point, the temperature inside reached 11°C one morning after around 9 hours overnight. You don’t notice it by touch, cans of juice and water still feel cool to drink but luckily, we always keep a thermometer in our fridge.
The service engineer suggested it might be low or poor gas when he visited, and it could be a bad batch of units as he had been to some others with similar issues. So, if you have one or are considering one, it might be worthwhile buying a fridge thermometer and keep watch on the internal temperature.
We had to throw out a lot of food because of these issues and with the inconvenience, days off work for exchanges and restocking fee its cost us a lot more than if we had just purchased the LG initially so beware and perhaps consider an alternative brand if your budget allows.
