Impressive Smartphone App and Outstanding Cooling Performance

    5/5
The absence of a remote control initially caught my attention, but I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing smartphone app provided for this air conditioner. It offered intuitive controls and convenient functionality, making it a worthy alternative to a physical remote. However, what truly blew me away was the exceptional cooling performance of this air conditioner. Having gone through four portable AC units in the past six years, I can confidently say that this one stands out as the best. The level of cooling it provides is truly remarkable, surpassing my expectations. Overall, despite the lack of a remote control, the impressive smartphone app and the outstanding cooling capabilities make this air conditioner a top choice for me. It has proven to be a reliable and efficient solution for combating the summer heat.

Good air quality and does the job well. The app you can control it from is also super useful. Only cools 1 room but that's expected froma unit of this size I suppose

    Get it

Very good, cools the our attic room down very quick. Love that it can be controlled by an app even when away from home so you come back to cool room.

    Great purchase

With the recent hot weather, my wife and I finally decided that an air con unit was needed for the bedroom. Even with the windows open, our room was 26 degrees C. This unit cools our room down to 18 degrees C. within 30 minutes. A great feature, is being able to set a timer on the App for it to switch off while you are sleeping. One negative, we have quite high windows. The hose wasn't quite long enough to reach. So I got an extension hose. Problem solved.

    A cool product.

Efficient, if a little on the noisy side. Wifi control is awesome, app could do with some work, Haven't managed to sync with the rest of my automation setup, which is disappointing.

    Does the job

Cools down the room quickly. I use it in an home office, so not tried any quiet settings. It does make some nosy, but from what I have seen most of them do. Very happy with all in all.

    Cool and quiet

    5/5
Very good cooling capability and not noisy (it's quieter than a normal desk fan). Great product!

Good, bit a little bulkier and noisier than I'd expected.

Cools quite well but is noisier than expected, certainly not comfortable to sleep near in my opinion. Put it on about an hour before going to bed and the bedroom is nice and cool, at which point you can rely on fans if you need quieter cooling overnight. The outlet hose can be a pain as it's quite rigid; my tilt and turn windows don't help. The unit is suprisingly big and heavy (30kg+). Thankfully it's on castors but certainly check the dimensions (which I didn't) before you order. It doesn't come with a remote control, but can be connected to Wifi and controlled via the AEG app, and Google (not Echo/Alexa sadly). I read a review on the Which? website and thought that this was the same model, but this is a 339, not a 338 which is the Which? best buy, hence no remote control. The app is a bit hit and miss, with the temperature progress graph just disappearing, but overall I am glad we purchased it. It doesn't come with a window kit, but these are readily available. From a WiFi/Lan perspective, I can't find details of the MAC address anywhere; so if you're someone who likes to know what devices are on your network, it's worth watching out for its MAC address appearing on the LAN when you set it up.
