Don't buy this machine if you have an open-plan kitchen/living space
3/5
A warning - this is a very noisy machine. The worst noise is an unpleasant electrical hum whenever the pump is running. In addition the wash cycle is very audible but at least a water wash is a less unpleasant background noise. So the Which? review is spot on - don't buy this machine if you have an open-plan kitchen / living space. For context, the previous fully integrated machine this has replaced was a 23 year old Bosch machine which was near silent. Even my previous freestanding Hotpoint dishwashers were less noisy than this fitted Beko model benefiting from being behind the thick wooden door on the front! The other issue that the the cutlery tray on the top has to be taken out if you want wine glasses to stand on the main upper deck (raised to allow full size dinner plates to fit down below). To compensate I had to buy a second pair of side racks for large knifes from ebay to clip onto the left side as they are only included for one side. Finally, I am glad we kept the old Bosh cutlery basket for the bottom rack as the Beko one is tiny (as you are supposed to use the now removed top cutlery rack that is stored in my garage). In mitigation the machine does clean well - but then I've never had a dishwasher that doesn't. The price was good, just hope it lasts long enough to be worth the fitting cost.
