I had this oven for 11 months and I would not recommend it.
First, the handle gets really hot - I measured it to be between 50c and 60c with my multimeter temperature probe with the gas setting at 7, while the ambient temperature is around 20c.
Second, it smelled liked burnt plastic for most of these 11 months whenever in use.
Last, the temperature knob has the numbers at the bottom, which forces you to lean down to see which gas setting was actually selected.
I did have Belling come out with an engineer to check. He concluded that there were no faults with the oven and that it was installed correctly. He said that British Standards allow the oven handles to be 60c plus ambient, meaning it can get up to 70-80c on a regular autum/spring day.
The problem of the hot handle seems to be caused by the air vent to be in front of the handle, so as hot air blows out, the handle gets hot within minutes.
Poor design!
Overall, for £429, I expected it not to have these poor design decisions.
