Impressive drying performance
5/5
Like others, we were a bit sceptical about making the leap to a heat pump tumble drier - we needn't have worried.
Our tumble dryer is located in our garage so naturally the temperature in which is operates is lower, and we'd always read that they don't work as well in low temperatures. I guess the tech has moved on a bit as so far we've been very impressed with this Beko.
Our first use was drying a batch of towels which came out completely dry. Then we ran a mixed load (which also contained a towel) and used the low temperature option, and still everything came out dry.
We've not noticed any difference in drying performance compared to our previous condenser dryer either. The programs used so far perhaps take an extra 10-15 minutes at most over our old machine.
Size wise, the dryer is not as deep as others and the drum looks a bit smaller than our old machine but still takes up to 8kg.
Build quality is impressive considering this is at the less expensive end of the market. It has dual fluff filters and these are really effective in stopping fluff getting down to the condenser area. It also has an LED light inside the drum which is handy, an option to set how dry you want the finished laundry, and another setting to lower the drying temperature to a gentler level (which adds about 10 minutes to a cycle).
As well as the normal tumble dryer sound, it also has a fan (at the front of the machine) which gives off some noise, but overall I wouldn't say it's much louder, just a bit different.
Overall we've been impressed so far and have no regrets with our purchase.
