Solid build, solid performance
5/5
The first thing you notice when unpacking the Ninja blender is that it’s a solid piece of kit. It has a satisfying weight to it, both the base and the main jug. Performance is equally solid. We’ve been using ours to make smoothies from frozen fruit and the blades, both in the main jug and the smaller cup attachment make easy work of it. The auto blend function is convenient and works well. Simply press a button, wait until the machine stops and enjoy the well-blended contents. Nice touches are the digital display which shows how much blend time is left, the ability to pulse the blending with a single button press during blending if you find that the contents have become stuck and the spout in the jug corner which allows contents to be easily emptied without having to release the lid (the lid fastens with a clamping mechanism released by a mechanical button press). The blades in the main jug can be easily removed for cleaning (and I suppose sharpening too if need be). Overall, I can’t fault it but I would point out we’ve only had it a month so far (although it’s been used almost every day).
