Premium laptop
5/5
So after having my old laptop died on me ?? get out the violins, I decided to do some research and treat me and my son to a decent one... the conclusion was the Lenovo Legion 5....
The laptop came perfectly packed nice and neat, just as you'd expect from a premium device, upon opening I was Impressed straight away with the quality and build of the laptop.
At first i was wondering was it worth the price it is very expensive, but for what your getting here it's well worth the price.
The Lenovo legion usually each year appears in the top 5 laptops to buy due to its quality build, power and features, even down to the little details.
The laptops has some weight to it not to heavy, not to light, made from Aliminium and the hinges sit In a place allowing to easily be opened and go all the way back.
The majority of the leads and cable assembly is to the rear, neatly keeping cable stress to the minimum.
The keyboard is very good, one of the best I've used, nice feel, with RGB colours that can be customised for whatever you desire, keys are spacious and the mouse tracker being very clicky.
Screen is sizable 15.6" with an amazing refresh rate, Dolby vision and hdr resulting in vibrant colours, amazing for movies and games, it's also very bright.
If your gaming or performing demanding tasks, it has the AMD Ryzen 7 processor, 16gb ddr5 ram and a rtx 3060 graphics card, gaming is really amazing on it, handles everything I throw it, apart from the gamers rage ???? only joking.
The ssd is 512gb good, but at some point il be getting a new 1tb to expand, would of loved 1tb but that's not a huge thing for now.
Other than that the laptop is fast, the dual fans are very quiet and never overheats as it has although with certain games you'd expect some heat.
The software is also really good from lenovos control hub, its an easy accessible hub to change setting and keep an eye on the laptops health and power. 3 power settings for quiet, balanced and performance is great.
Finally one thing I love is the battery life, its not amazing and a few online mentioned this was a weak point, however I find it perfect, it's sufficient for when I'm out and about.
My son love it also for playing his games and managing his YouTube channel, so all in all in all, its a solid multimedia and gaming laptop.
I would highly recommend this laptop to anyone looking to get a premium piece of kit, however the price may be considered on the heavy side, you'll need to evaluate the cost compared to other models.... but its definitely worth it.
Thanks for reading.
