Shocked at how poorly constructed it was, given the brand name.

Unpacked the product and when removing all packaging I noticed the galvanized vent guards were all loose on the back panel, the self tapping screws had been started but not all screwed in. Then I noticed the oven door wouldn't shut. When I tried to shut it again it ripped of the plastic inner trim from the internal door surround. Refitted, attempted another closure to another misaligned trim removal. Lift up the oven door a lot and the spigot will align with the lock (approx 8mm out), but door very flimsy. Inner trim surround is cheap plastic; I was very surprised given the brand name. Noticed a convex dent in the grill door panel, damaged from manufacture prior to forming in the press. Also a drill chuck scuff, bottom of oven door center. which had removed paint Not near any fasteners so not sure how the fabricator managed to damage that, unless he was rushing to get the product out. That would explain why there was no quality inspection prior to packaging, which would have picked up the fact the oven door wouldn't shut. Spoke to Rangemaster, told me it was a door misalignment issue and not the kind of oven door you should have to lift up to try and close, still it was too easy to rip the trim off anyway. Overall, if you include the plastic, flimsy knobs which will no doubt melt or dis-colour over time as can happen, I am surprised at how shabby this product was. AO were great, offered everything you'd expect. As I wanted this particular design I have given Rangemaster the benefit of the doubt and accepted a replacement, which is yet to arrive, hoping this last product was one that just slipped through the net. Luckily, as I was first drop off, the couldn't take my old oven, so I kept hold of that and reinstalled it, allowing me to still cook whilst I await a replacement.
