I was a little uncertain buying outside of dyson for a vacuum cleaner as I have both cats and daughters dropping hair everywhere but I have to say I'm very impressed with this Vax, it picks up hair on both carpet and hard floor without issue and has a surprisingly long run time for a cordless unit. It come with two swappable batteries so one can be charging while the other is in use using the provided charger (no having to charge via the vacuum cleaner), the batteries charge quickly and it's easy to check how much charge you have at any point. The vacuum cleaner itself is as about as heavy as any other cordless I've tried but you really don't notice it when cleaning the the floor, it feels light to use even if sometimes it corners like a brick. A minor feature but probably my favourite is that the main floor head can be run at 90 degrees meaning you don't have to fight with it when you reach the stairs - just flip it up and keep going.

I love it!! My carpets have never looked so good! I have two Irish red setters so my carpet normally looks a red/orange colour but now are cream like they should be? Dog fur is not a problem for this vacuum cleaner xxx

The vax vacuum cleaner is amazing

It's a nice gadget but for me the suction wasn't too great abd it was a little heavy to hold . I also found that when hoovering and wanted to stop I had to find somewhere safe to lean it against or else it just falls and that could risk it breaking.

Very disappointed after reading all the reviews I thought this was the best but I'm afraid unless you press the boost button it does not pick up. On boost obviously the battery runs out really quickly have reverted back to my Dyson for suction

Not as powerful as I was hoping and have to use boost quite a bit which really reduces the battery time

Fantastic. Love the long battery running time and extra battery is a bonus.
