Having had a cordless vax previou,ly we bought cheap one to replace as we are getting older manoeverability was key, cheap one om for flat floors,but not man enough for carpets, thie new vax proved this,and certainly does an excellent job of the carpet along with several attachments. Slightly heavier than the cheap one ,but I thoroughly recommend it , before you put it together apply a thin film of vaseline to facilitate separation,especially if you have small hands.

Works as well as advertised. More comfortable to use than the Blade 4 (unless the design has been changed) as the lip on the top of the handle has been removed and one's hand can now slide forward. Compatibility of the battery with the Blade 4 is very useful but nothing else seems to read across.

Absolutely brilliant hoover. The battery lasts enough to do the whole house. It is lightweight and very easy to empty and clean the brushes as they just pull out.

Good for floors and carpets but it TURNS OFF, when I try to hoover my thick piled rug, if the brushes are switched on. Don't buy this one if you have thick pile carpets or rugs. My £40 goblin hoover does the same job. That's why I bought the Vax but it doesn't make my rug look its been hoovered either as I can only use the suction on it. As soon as I switch the brushes on it TURNS OFF!!
