    Candy CSEV9LG Tumble Dryer

    5/5
I love the "dryness sensor" in the Candy CSEV9LG tumble dryer. The dryer optimizes the drying time until the clothes are exactly how I want them, with 4 different dryness levels that I can choose between. This also minimizes electricity usage. Also I like the "anti crease" stop-start cycle which means I no longer need iron most of my clothes. Overall, I am very happy with it.

    Excellent dryer

    5/5
My old dryer broke so had to get a new one. I’ve always had a dryer so I’m lost without one. This one is so much like my old one it’s brilliant. It has similar settings that I’m used to. Would definitely recommend

    Spot On

Seems to be very efficient at drying and quieter than the Indesit it replaced. If there is 1 thing I'd like it would be reverse tumble rather than just 1 direction. As usual with AO perfect delivery - on time, unpacked and cleared away. Can't beat them.

One or two cons but overall a good machine

    5/5
Had this to replace a basic 7kg tumble that we had for 5+ years. The Tumble dryer is great overall. Holds quite alot, the filter cataches more than the previous dryer and its purse like design is much more efficient. It's easier to clean, quite quiet but it is located in a cupboard on the 1st floor, so I would assume it would be quiter on a solid kitchen floor. Very economic - we've already saved money as the previous tumble use to eat through electric. We've only used the 45 min cycle (this is sometimes quicker as it monitors moisture levels in the drum, relax creases and refresh cycles and that's all we seem to need. The oe draw back as highlighted in other comments was the reverse spin. Having a superking bed means that the duvet cover on its own end up in a nice tight ball by the end of a cycle, it happens as well with our daughters single bed covers/sheets. With all this tech I find it hard to believe they couldnt have added in some programme/hardware to reverse the current direction to create a reverse spin. We just use the short 45 spin, and then essentially unroll and put back in to dry. Then leave the last bits on a radiator. Bit of a faff, but nothing thats going to cause me to throw it out. I'll just end up getting a heat pump after this. Used the app once, haven't used it since. There isn't a cool spin on the dial or on the app, and unlike other models we looked at (but weren't aware of) this doesn't ping your phone when done. Which is odd, seeing as the tumble and phone need a Wifi connection to communicate when setting up, so you would think this would be a simple service to include. Apart from those downsides, the tumble is actually very efficient and economic. It does the job we need. I would buy this again if I needed to.

    Disappointing

I am so disappointed with this dryer. It does not dry my clothes well at all. It rotates in only one direction so sheets etc get all tangled abs when the cycle is over the clothes are still wet in the middle. So infuriating.

    Not fit for purpose

    1/5
Do NOT buy this machine. I thought it was faulty as it only turns in one direction. Following several visits from engineers, and parts replaced, I have learned from a Candy engineer, that the machine is designed to only turn clockwise. This results in clothes tangling into a ball. It takes 2-3 cycles to dry clothing, therefore NOT energy efficient! Bedding is impossible - it is in a ball within a minute of the cycle commencing.

    Shocking appliance

    1/5
Shocking product, wraps sheets and larger items in a ball requiring it to be unwrapped several times throughout the cycle which then doubles the actual drying time. No timer option means you rely on the sensor to dictate when the cycle is finished. It has never been accurate. I am returning this product and thankful that AO enable this to happen hassel free
