The oven arrived and our initial thought were great as for the price it’s a nice looking oven. When you initially turn the product on the elements really give off a strange smell, but this burnt off after 20 minutes. We started the oven and I noticed that the fan didn’t work, even after waiting for the oven to get to temperature it wouldn’t turn on, Hotpoint service wouldn’t send a new product and it’s 2 weeks before the service engineer can come out.

One of the reasons I chose this oven was that the specification said that both oven doors were triple glazed. However they arrived without the middle piece of glass. I contacted AO.com who immediately made a three way phone call to Hotpoint who agreed to send the middle glass to me by courier at their cost. So well done AO.com but if you are buying this oven check for the triple glazing it makes a big difference. You can add, remove and clean all three pieces of glass very easily, just two screws to undo. I would recommend watching the Hotpoint YouTube videos as they are quite helpful. The main oven thermostat light goes off very quickly making you think that the oven is up to temperature in a short space of time but my two oven thermometers showed that it was not 180 but only 130. The light comes on again and then off a few times before the correct temperature is reached so beware. The control and function switches could be better, they are "clunky" and the info is on the rotated switch not on the backplate so if you are short it would be difficult to see what function or temperature you have chosen.

Cooker, good, good looking and highly functional for the price point. AO service amazing! Friendly install and removal, great communications!

I purchased this oven as the most direct replacement for my previous Hotpoint model but cannot stress just how disappointed I am with it. The design of the temperature control knob is just ridiculous that you have to stand on a stool to read it, plus it is graduated in 30 degree units, not 20 which makes it a lot less accurate. The main problem I have encountered is that the fan oven does not reach nor maintain the correct temperature and there is a 20 degree temperature discrepancy with what is set and what is achieved. This oven is pointless if it does not maintain or even gain its temperature reliably. I have used both an oven thermometer and also a laboratory temperature probe to monitor the temperature so know that it is inaccurate. Also, the top grill has a mind of its own and is nothing as efficient as the previous model. I am contemplating returning it to AO - although it is not AO's fault it is just Hotpoint's inferior design ability. To say I am disappointed is an understatement - my last Hotpoint only lasted 5 years - this one has underperformed within a month ! Hotpoint used to have a good reputation and that's all about they are trading on if this is the standard of their new products because it definitely is not quality. I changed from Bosch to Hotpoint 5 years ago but I definitely will not be buying another Hotpoint oven again and although the exterior is stylish, the push in knobs are a very useful addition, the glass is easy to clean, as is the oven, if it does not do the job of cooking efficiently and reliably then this oven is a pure waste of money.

If your under 6 foot you can not read the dials (rather than the symbols being on the oven they are on the knobs), when we saw this on a review we were “it’ll be fine “ but seriously it is a pain but apart from that it’s a lovely oven.

Lovely oven, cooks evenly. Good grill. The only drawnacknis the temperature controls being on knobs, which are a bit difficult to see - and I am 5'10". Otherwise stylish, large glass door, easy to see inside.

This oven not only looks good it cooks good as well. Only fault I could. find was the amount of condensation which drips onto tray under oven. Other than that I’m thrilled with it .
