This oven is amazingly quiet. I truly appreciate that once I’ve turned the fan oven off, I don’t have to listen to it cooling down! However, a HUGE downside is the controls to the oven... you have to be over 5foot 4 inches tall to be able to read the temperature control and also the control showing which oven setting you are on. Why did they not put the signs and temperature UNDER each control knob rather than above them? Or in the front. The top oven is completely baffling and even took my husband ages to work out how to get just the grill to work. The instructions booklet explained nothing.

Not all that happy with this appliance. The oven looks good and yes it cooks ok but I do have some issues with it: the control dials are not very easy to read, for me they are especially difficult as I am a small person (5ft) and I have to use a step stool to set the oven, not ideal. After the oven had been running for a while cooking a Sunday roast I felt that the front of the unit was very hot and the surrounding cabinetry had also heated up. Another problem is the condensation dripping from the bottom of the unit, this seemingly is a common problem but one I could do without as the water actually managed to get. Inside the cupboard under the oven. I had my last built in oven for nine years without any of these problems and I so regret buying this one. Would I recommend it to a friend? NO.

The oven arrived and our initial thought were great as for the price it’s a nice looking oven. When you initially turn the product on the elements really give off a strange smell, but this burnt off after 20 minutes. We started the oven and I noticed that the fan didn’t work, even after waiting for the oven to get to temperature it wouldn’t turn on, Hotpoint service wouldn’t send a new product and it’s 2 weeks before the service engineer can come out.

lovely clean lines of this cooker, measurements were exactly right fits perfectly in place, easy controls, very quiet fan extremely pleased
