Typical Bosch quality. It is slim enough not to over power my kitchen wall. When using it on high speed the fan is quite loud but not as bad as my last one. Because Im using it as a recirculating hood I have had to purchase the carbon filters separately. Beware the vent holes for using it to vent outside are sharp, the side vent has a cover on it the other (the top one) is left open and the metal is thin and liable to cut your fingers. Overall a nice looking piece of essential kitchen equipment, which is an easy fit.

This extractor actually exceeded my expectations, it being far more powerful than the one it replaced. No more replacing greasy paper filters every few months, with this one has metal mesh filters that can just be easily unclipped and washed in a dishwasher or sink. With previous cooker hoods, they tended to just remove around 75% of steam from the pans on the hob, but this one actually removes 100% which is especially great when cooking curries over the hob. The led lights give out good illumination too, from just two x 4 watt led bulbs, much brighter than the 40watt incandescent of old. I only bought this Bosche as the vent outlet was at the rear and easily connected to the 110 mm round existing pipe through the wall . This hood also has an adaptor for a 150mm top outlet as well 110 mm, you just pull off the blanking plate for the outlet you wish to use...top or rear.

This is a good looking product and helps us put an extractor fan into an area which is otherwise not achievable.

Not happy with this product because it does not come with the charcoal filter for re circulation . Not aware of this when ordering the product . I now have to order this separately , which is so annoying and extra cost .

Typical of what you would expect from Bosch, a well made product, pleasing to look at. Be aware you need to get filters for it which are available on line. Have not had it installed yet!

Excellent fan much quieter than the previous one and cheaper too

The hood itself looks good and seems to work well. It is noisy but no more than my previous unit. I would say that the installation is not as straightforward as other reviews suggest. We were fitting it to the underside of a cupboard and it required 3 sets of hands and was very tricky to install. The installation instructions are not clear at all- there are no words used in the step by step instructions so it was hard to know what the pictures meant. Just adding a few words would have made all the difference!
