I had to replace my condensing dryer because of ongoing issues I had been having with it so decided to look for a replacement. I researched online looking at reviews for a new dryer that was energy efficient, reliable quality brand, had varied programs, good price, extended warranty, etc... After a few days of whittling down many models and companies from where to purchase, I decided that this was the the best dryer for all my needs and the best deal to be had by a reliable retailer. I decided the Samsung 9kg heat pump tumble dryer A+++ was the best tumble dryer to suit my needs and pocket. I was worried at first about using the tech as I'm the wrong side of 60, but even I could use the simple instructions to set the program I wanted to use! I found it to be very quiet compared to all my old dryers, does not tangle up my sheets, the rack that you fit on the inside of the door for drying shoes (also great for my baseball caps) is ingenuous! It is also easy to clean the vents, has a 5 year warranty and the motor is guaranteed for 20 years. I don't know about the savings I will make on energy but at least I now can use my tumble dryer without feeling guilty and have peace of mind that it will last longer that my old dryers that tended to break down after about 3 years after their warranty expired!

Excellent machine, water cooler now her easy to get at but unfortunately the heater is difficult for me to empty I have to get a neighbour to do it, I didn't realise it was that low. The machine is so quiet and plan to of programme choices. Would have liked a more detailed manual to identify icons, but an is useful. Overall I made a good choice of machine, my last one was 20 years old!

Love that it dries the laundry without turning the utility room into a sauna like my last tumble dryer did. The double-filter removes all fluff very efficiently and the water tank is easy to remove and replace. A drying cycle takes longer - no surprise there - but seems much gentler on clothing, and doesn’t set the electric meter racing either. The end-of-cycle tune might eventually prove irritating but it certainly makes sure I don’t miss it. All in all, brilliant.

First heat exchange tumble dryer we’ve purchase and we are delighted with our choice. It’s solidly built, quiet when running and drys quicker than expected.

Economic replacement for a broken gas dryer. Thought about it for a while due to cost but should have taken the plunge earlier.

Very good. Quite quiet. Lots of helpful settings. It takes longer but much better for clothes.

Great product so far (we've been using it for a week). Works as intended. Delivery was excellent and the delivery team were happy to lift the unit into an elevated position in a unit above the washing machine which was really appreciated. A few reviews mentioned the machine taking a long time to dry clothes, but we haven't seen that. The indicated time of each run is often cut short once the clothes have been adequately dried, and the drying time is normally less time than our washing machine takes, so we don't end up with a backlog of damp clothes when running through several loads. One thing that could be improved by AO is to adjust the machine to drain to the standing pipe if required, rather than use the in-built storage tank. This service isn't offered on the website, and we ended up having to remove the unit from it's elevated unit (above the washing machine) to do this ourselves, which was a real pain.

Great tumble dryer, costs so much less electricity than my old traditional dryer. Lots of different settings to choose from, I didn’t connect my hose to the drain to empty out the water but it’s no hassle to empty out the draw where the water collects.
