Cheap - and you can see why
3/5
The instructions were very poor overall and scattered around in different places in the booklet to make it even harder.
There was a water hardness testing strip and we followed the black and white instructions. The five squares on the strip were all grey before getting it wet.
Once the strip had been wetted as in the instructions, four squares turned a pinkish colour and the one square turned greenish grey.
The diagram had five white squares and once wet a number of the squares would turn black.
We had no idea whether the pink or the green squares were the ones which gave the reading, so we have no idea how hard the water is.
The instructions for programming the water softening feature were complex and confusing and in any case, we have no data!
We will use tabs with built in softener and hope it’s enough.
In use, the washer is ok, but it’s not as good at drying the dishes/glasses as all of the previous appliances we have and we always get a lot of condensation inside the door after the drying process is over.
If this machine lasts two years, it will be reasonably worth it. Time will tell.
Previous machines have lasted over a decade.
I think we shall opt for a German machine next time…
