Good cheap machine, lots of settings
4/5
Bought this 7kg MyTime in a hurry when our previous more expensive machine packed up yet again (2 times in 2 years, had a nightmare with this brand, won't be buying again). We needed a cheap machine to tide us over so went for the Indesit after reading good reviews. Initially very pleased, quick and excellent delivery from ao, no problems there. Has LED countdown time and delayed start setting which I wanted and lots of options for short cycles, spin and temperature but I do agree with the general comments that only having 1000 spin on the 1 hour mixed and cotton cycles is annoying and having to do a separate 10 min spin at the end. 1200 spin is possible for 45 min cottons so I don't understand why it can't be the same for the 1 hour programmes. The other main disappointment I've found is that the drum is small. It is supposedly 7kg though is definitely smaller than my previous 7kg machine and I now can't fit in a king sized duvet cover, sheet and 4 pillowcases in one load which I used to just get in the old machine and wash overnight. Annoying that I now have to do the bedding in 2 loads and can't make so much use of Economy 7. I very nearly went for the 8kg MyTime and kicking myself now for not doing so though looking at the photos of drums on ao I'm not convinced that the 8kg is any larger. The 8kg also has an invertor motor which may be quieter, the 7kg makes a high pitched whining sound on spin which can get on your nerves. Apart from that, I've been reasonably pleased and it certainly has a better range of settings than my previous make which was £100 more expensive.
