    Unsatisfactory for my requirements

    1/5
The product on arrival, before unpacking, looked like it had been left outdoors - there was bird poo on the packaging and the exposed cardboard was wet and dirty. On unpacking, the inside of the machine was wet and dirty and there was dirt caught in the bottom of the door which I cannot fully remove. I have been told that the wetness was because the product had been tested. I don't believe that a product of this value should be supplied to me wet. And do they realize that the instruction leaflets etc will be wet too? The cover of the machine is actually wider than 60cm so it doesn't fit into the gap in our kitchen and as a result we have had to remove the top cover. Instructions were supplied to do this, but it turned out to be very difficult and for £800 it now looks like we have an integrated machine rather than a stand alone product. The advice manual regarding stacking the dishwasher is poor. I find there is plenty of place for plates, but not enough/any for eg pyrex lids (wider spaced prongs) and there is really nowhere suitable to stack up to three or four chopping boards. This is what I routinely require so it's not suitable for my requirements. The cutlery tray doesn’t hold as much as my previous basket could. When my husband is in the room above the dishwasher he always asks what the knocking noise is (we never heard any noise from the previous machine when we were upstairs). However, if you’re in the same room as the machine, it is very quiet. It does wash nicely, and not routinely, but on the whole the dishes are drier than my previous machine. The only reason I'm not returning the product is because it's too much hassle. Very disappointed. Mainly because I cannot fit as many dishes in it as I require.

    Stylish, efficient and super quiet.

This AEG 8000 SPRAYZONE dishwasher is a replacement for an old one which was blowing the fuses. It is stylish modern looking with brushed steel finish. The control panel has a glass effect touch screen buttons which are very easy to use with good selection of programs. During the washing it displays time remaining utill the end of the program. It is very efficient at cleaning the dishes even at the shortest 30 minutes program. Powerful Spray Zone in the bottom drawer is for dishes which are heavy soiled or with baked on food. At the end of the washing the door pops open to aid drying. Another great feature I like about this machine is how quiet it is. It is first time I have ever used dishwasher with cutlery drawer. No cutlery basket means there is more space for dishes although having cutlery basket is handy when emptying the machine as you can bring it to the drawer in the kitchen cabinet. There is an internal lamp which is another handy feature.I highly recommend this dishwasher.

    Absolutely amazing

Top dishwasher The AEG 8000 Sprayzone dishwasher is a very modern looking machine with brushed steel finish which avoids smudge marks. The display panel has a glass effect touch screen buttons which are very easy to use with setting from 30 minutes to 160 minutes with optional functions such as time delay, glass, pots and spray zone. When the cycle completes the door pops open for additional air drying and to keep to dishes fresh. The machines leave dishes spotlessly clean including heavily soiled pots. The machine is very quiet and it can hardly be heard. The top draw for cutely is great idea as you no longer need a basket which makes space for the spray zone area which is great for heavy soiled pots and pans. The machine is easy to set up and start using quickly. I would highly recommend this machine.

    Amazing clean

This dishwasher is a really nice colour goes well in my kitchen, the controls are simple and intuitive, and allow you to choose from a range of cycles. The delay function is really useful, which allows me to schedule the clean over night, the utensils and cutlery rack being a draw at the top of the dishwasher is easy to use and gets rid of the old basket, the addition of a light inside the dishwasher is a nice touch and the customisable layout of the drawers helps you fit anything you want in the dishwasher the intense spray zone is awesome and really helps get rid of baked on grime even on 30 minutes cycle. When any cycle is finished the door pops open to help dry the dishes and saves energy and stops any smells from forming. I would highly recommend this to anyone in the market for a new dishwasher

No, it's not even worth £400

The product was delivered promptly and on time by two very pleasant guys. Unfortunately that has really been my only pleasant experience of the whole purchase experience. I was hassled by phone, before delivery, to buy further insurance when I had already indicated that I didn't want it. I did contact AO (because they won't contact me even though they were more than enthusiastic to contact me regarding selling me add ons, and I then waited over 13 minutes on hold) who told me that the wetness was because the product had been tested. I don't believe that a product of this value should be supplied to me wet. I find there is plenty of place for plates, but not enough/any for eg pyrex lids (wider spaced prongs) and there is really nowhere suitable to stack up to three or four chopping boards. This is what I routinely require so it's not suitable for my requirements. When my husband is in the room above the dishwasher he always asks what the knocking noise is (we never heard any noise from the previous machine when we were upstairs). To be fair it does wash fine, and not routinely, but on the whole the dishes are relatively dry. I've registered for the warranty and now I keep getting emails saying I've claimed my free gift. I hardly think the warranty is a 'gift'. The only reason I'm not returning the product is because it's too much hassle. Very disappointed. The more I think about it the more I want to return the product. Looking on the website, I see that I could get UP to 50% refund because it has been used. Makes me wonder if actually I got a used product in the first place and that was why it was wet. So send it back and it's still cost me at least £400? - no, it's not even worth £400.

    AEG 8000 SprayZone - Great Dishwasher !

    5/5
Firstly, the dishwasher looks smart I have had several AEG kitchen appliances in the past but never a dishwasher. Install was relatively easy note due to the Aqua control (leak detection feature) the hose connection is slight larger compared to a regular dishwasher hose. This is my first dishwasher with a cutlery drawer and is great and for our household we can get more in the dishwasher compared to one with a regular basket. Other benefit is had to use it less so far compared to my old machine. SprayZone is great feature where you can put dishes with baked on food and it comes out clean compared to my old dishwasher where would have to prewash or give the dish a scrub to remove the left behind food! Drying is great and the door pops open during the drying phase to improve drying further. The Height adjustable upper basket is nifty design and easy to change by lifting it and locking when you need more height for glass ware just lift and the basket will drop with ease. The 30 min cycle is great for lighter cleaning if need clean dishes quickly without hand washing. Lastly it is super quiet! I used to hear my old dishwasher it from my lounge and would close my kitchen door. On my first use I had to check it was running it was so quiet. Overall really pleased with the AEG dishwasher so far!
