Great Stove for a Great price

    5/5
Great Stove, much more modern than our older one with more room. The price was also the best we could find for all the we wanted in a stove.

We bought this after reading lots of reviews. We were replacing an eight year old Zanussi ZCV66030XA. I'd kept this going by replacing both elements several times. We tried to see the Hotpoint in person to verify but no one has it. We punted on it. The electrical connection panel is a nightmare, not impossible but mins over seconds with the Zanussi. The back is nearly all vertical, no clearance to the connection box. So now it sits in the gap 4' from the wall. Pictures did not make this overly clear and believe me we looked at a LOT of pictures before buying. The feet are cheap and only on the front two, unlike the Zanussi. The top oven door is a steel trap and I'm sure I'm going to break the glass. Tiny grill, doing a fry up for two is a nightmare. Grill height is either too close or too far. Full power it burns, half it does nothing. Flimsy racks, picky but being honest. Oven door always feels like it's not shut. Rings are hard to get used to. Heat control is odd.... Seeing the temp light for the oven you have to stoop. Oven light doesn't come on on its own, you have to have heat going. Great for cleaning! Now for balance what we like.... In theory the oven is easier to clean than the Zanussi, that's all we got, honestly. ---- We've tried it since 22/11th and it's being given away and I shall keep the Zanussi going till it expires, which will be soon. I shall then get another Zanussi and swap over the old door handles to the new one as we have seen this in person and that is all that has changed. To give you an idea of how upset I was with it. It was delivered on my birthday. Having had a nightmare getting into place I was fully prepared to hurl it into our garden to see what noise it would make when it smashed! No reflection at all on AO, we bought a new fridge freezer the following week! 10/10 delivery guys.
