This was purchased to replace my old Hotpoint cooker that was 23 years old. So far it has lived up to expectations and more. The oven heats up far faster than my old one and I am slowly getting used to the time that it takes to heat up the rings. My old Hotpoint had a halogen ring that was extremely efficient, but these new ones take a while to heat up. However once they have reached temperature I can turn them down to quite low and they retain the heat so that I can simmer it boil on a very low heat.
Two things you have to be aware of, the first one is that when you open the oven door you must stand back to avoid the blast of extremely hot air for a few seconds, this is explained in the instructions.
The other drawback is that the oven door is very low and the corner is sharp, make sure you wear shoes in the kitchen when using your oven as I have caught my toes on the oven door twice, thankfully I had my shoes on otherwise I think it would have taken the skin off my toes!
Overall, I love it!
