Big capacity dryer that doesn’t dry that well
3/5
Initial impression is disappointment. Bought this after our White Knight dryer of 5 years started to make very alarming noises. Went for a bigger drum as with a family of 5 I thought a bigger drum meant bigger capacity and better drying with the extra space to tumble. In the end the performance is poor compared to the last dryer which was cheaper. The last dryer had much less settings but the clothes were always dry. The Hoover tends to leave clothes damp, even on the driest setting, and I have to run the dryer again. With energy prices increasing, this isn’t very impressive. At least it is a little quieter than the last dryer and I’m not sure the multitude of setting options is anything but confusing. Haven’t got an Android device to test the wireless function but not sure that’s anything more than a gimmick anyway. Not like it’s going to load and unload by itself. We’ll see how long it lasts but I hope it’s better than 5 years otherwise it’d be a waste of money.
