Much better build quality than the Beko it replaced. Easy installation (paper and video instructions to follow which made it super clear) and despite what a few reviews say, attaching the door with the sticky Velcro pads was actually really straight forward and worked well for me. Easy to operate with good selection of settings. Does a great job of cleaning. The door opening at the end works well for me (some reviews say the door fully opens, it’s just a crack for me). This actually does result in dry plates which is great. Only draw back is when running on the short cycle the steam released tiggers the smoke alarm in the kitchen. It’s done this a couple of times at night which was not a welcome surprise! Doesn’t seem to be a problem on longer ‘eco’ cycles. Negative points: the prongs in the top basket don’t fold down, which makes packing it a bit inefficient. And there are large gaps around the edge of the top basket, so anything smallish isn’t contained and falls out the back which is frustrating (this has happened a couple of times with a glass butter dish top and resulted in swearing. Luckily it didn’t smash). Would be so much better if they’d enclosed the basket at the top better to contain smaller items. It’s like there a bar missing. Only other minor gripe (but this is my fault and not the dishwasher’s) is that this model doesn’t have a top pull out tray like we had before. I purposely chose one without, as the last one we had was flimsy and broke a few times. But because the prongs in the top basket don’t fold flat and because anything flat or not very tall slides out the back of the basket, there’s no ideal place to put cooking utensils like kitchen knife’s, spatulas and the like, which is annoying. Lose a star for those points, but overall it’s a good dishwasher. Ordering from AO was a surprising good experience. Super easy, great communication, delivery on time and hassle free (provided a 2 hour window). Took the old dishwasher away. Really easy, no hassle which is so refreshing, thanks.
