Having inherited a washing machine when me and my wife moved into our first home in May, we really needed an upgrade. And boy did we get one! Firstly, it is a very stylish washing machine and the design clearly shows that it is a high-end model. We are planning to have a new kitchen in the next few years and this will definitely be staying! There are many different programs which are very easy to understand and use. It is clear which program is best suited for the type of wash required and it has performed brilliantly for my muddy football kits. The huge washing capacity of 10kg has allowed us to reduce the number of wash loads that we need to do per week and being ‘A’ energy rated, it has also had a positive impact on our energy bill which will definitely add up over the future use. It is great knowing how long until the cycle is complete and this will come in especially useful in the summer when clothes will still be put outside (to save money) as we can make other plans accordingly without being suddenly interrupted by the washing machine finishing! Finally a drawer with clear instructions of what goes where! No more guessing where the fabric softener or detergent is meant to go :) The dryer function has been a game changer for us as we were always waiting for clothes to dry indoors which was causing issues with the humidity in the home as well as taking forever to fully dry in the winter. We are now all done in a fraction of time and our clothes smell so much better.

I had been in the market for a new machine for some time, as our old washing machine was slow and a bit stinky despite me constantly cleaning it, and I was fed up with hanging clothes to dry around the house. It seemed like the washing and drying would never end. After checking out lots of different reviews, I opted for the AEG 8000 Powercare Universal Dose 10KG washer dryer. I LOVE IT. Since it arrived, I have actually enjoyed doing the laundry for our family of 2 adults and 2 (very messy, and one potty training) young children (also throw in 2 muddy cats). First impressions of the machine is that is looks great - very stylish and modern, with a lovely big display. It's very easy to use - there's the most common settings and features are available to select using the display, but the app that connects to the machine is full of extra programs. Of these, our most commonly used one is bedding (very handy and does not take long). The drum is absolutely huge, and I've found I can easily fit what I need to inside. It can easily take 2 bath sheets and a load of hand towels and tea towels. When it's loaded up that much, it's still incredibly quiet too. It's not silent, but it's about ten times quieter than my old machine. The only thing to note is that (as with all washer dryers), the drying won't be as effective if the drum is well-loaded. The actual cleaning of clothes is fantastic - we've had some very heavily soiled (with mud!) clothes sent back from nursery, and every night I put them on a 'powerclean' wash (my favourite program) and they come out spotless. One of the programs offers a quick wash and dry, with the whole thing over in an hour. This (alongside the 'steam' setting) has been perfect when we've needed clothes in a hurry, or to just freshen them up. I'm so pleased I opted for the 8000 Powercare 10KG, it really has made a lot of difference to my weekends and limited time in the evenings, now I'm not hanging up endless washing to dry. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone else, and I will be buying more AEG appliances in the future.

Firstly to comment on design. This is a beautiful machine. It looks so slick and stylish and perfectly complements my kitchen. I have always had a separate washing machine and tumble dryer. I wanted to update my kitchen and combine them into one machine but wanted to do some research first to make sure I wasn’t going to be having endless issues moving from two machines to one. Having checked online reviews and seen how the technology works I felt confident buying an AEG Washer Dryer. I was not disappointed! There are a range of functions which cater to every laundry need. For me the most used option has and likely will continue to be the Quick 20 which leaves clothes clean in record time. I love the drawer for pods/liquid/comforter - all labelled so there’s no confusion as to which goes where! Drying has been amazing, it’s quicker than my old tumble dryer. This has the added benefit of being more cost effective. Another key thing for me in my open plan kitchen is that it’s not noisy! I can be in there with the machine running and not struggle to have a conversation! The small footprint of getting rid of two machines and replacing with just one is a game changer for me as I now have space in my kitchen for a breakfast bar. As a final aside the quiet little jingle it plays when it powers on and off is very catch and both my daughter and I hum along when we turn the machine on and off!! Overall I am really pleased with my purchase I definitely made the right decision. I would 100% recommend the AEG 8000 Powercare Washer/Dryer. 

I have used a few programmes on this washer dryer, including the special programmes on the app and get excellent results every time. The machine is very quiet and does a good wash and dry. The machine looks good and I love the display. The idea of putting pods in the drawer is a great one and makes it clear what should be placed where as it's all marked for detergent, conditioner, pods etc. I really like this machine and would highly recommend it. My only criticism is the app, you still have to turn the machine on which defeats the purpose of the app remote option.

We can run it at night without disturbing the neighbours or waking up the kids. This is a major plus for us, as we often do laundry in the evenings. The washing tab section in the drawer is another clever feature that really gets the most out of our detergent. It dissolves the tabs quickly and evenly, ensuring that our laundry gets the deepest clean possible. We've also been using the AEG app to control the machine remotely. This is a handy feature, as we can start and stop washes, monitor the progress of our laundry, and even receive notifications when our laundry is finished. However, we have found that the app needs some work. The customization settings for setting up the three favourite washes is very limited, and it's missing the ability to schedule a wash to start at a set time. We hope that these features will be added in future updates. Overall, we are very happy with the AEG 8000 Powercare Universaldose 10 KG Washer Dryer (LWR8516O5UD). It's a powerful, versatile, and user-friendly machine that has made laundry day a breeze. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality washer dryer.

I recently purchased the AEG LWR8516O5UD, and I must say it has exceeded my expectations. This washing machine combines cutting-edge technology with a sleek design, making laundry so much easier for our family of 4 + 2 pooches. The variety of washing programs ensures that I can tailor each load to specific needs, whether it's delicates, heavy-duty items, or a quick refresh. We have noticed the larger capacity means we are using the machine much less each week, saving some money in the process One standout feature is the user-friendly interface, which makes navigating through the settings a seamless experience. The large display provides clear information about the selected program, time remaining, and other relevant details. And it’s quiet.

Bought a larger capacity drum with sensor dry technology as limited space. The dryer function is very good. Wash cycle too. The Wifi function is pointless. it tells me when I have finished a cycle handy but to control it via my phone I still have to stand in front of machine and press the ON button..

Great product, would recommend to any one wanting a top of the range AEG product. Washes and dries very well.
