A Which? Best Buy and Great Value product. Straightforward, smart looking fridge-freezer. Ample space in both departments, quiet and keeps everything reliably fresh. AO were brilliant from the delivery to troubleshooting and resolving a cracked salad drawer.

I’m a little sad to decry my old fridge freezer… it served Mum & Dad well and when they got a new fitted kitchen with built-in appliances, the old faithful came to me… it lasted about 30 years, only to be replaced by this beauty!!! I’ve only had it a few weeks so can’t testify absolutely to its “TOTAL FROST FREE” claim, but I have high hopes for it. The stated dimensions (online) were just right for the [raised cabinet] space I had, but the way the door opens means it has to sit forward/proud of the measured space, to allow the doors to open fully, which is still [just] ok. The front feet are a bit offset, with the door hinge side being forward of the other side. This presented me with another problem, as the unit was to sit in aforementioned cabinet space… some [ahem] ingenuity was required to make it sit in place (the hinge side foot sits outwith the cabinet space… so a perfectly heighted object was required for the hinge side foot to sit on (turns out a Large Yankee Candle Glass Jar with a leather coaster under it did the job ??????. It does sit on quite a rearward tilt, I’d say about 20 degrees… this isn’t due to the fact that I haven’t adjusted the front feet (it’s rollers on the back, which can’t be adjusted height wise). It was leaning backwards about 30 degrees when installed and I wasn’t impressed by the delivery guys suggested this was how it should sit, as “the condensation would run down the back, as it should with fridge-freezers”! It looked awfully off tilt and I’d specifically chosen a model that was supposed to be condensation/frost-free, so shouldn’t need to be on a posterior tilt for that cause. On reading the installation instructions, it was recommended the unit be on a small tilt (1 or 2 degrees) if you wanted an “auto door close effect”… gravity in other words. Anyway, despite the hassles with the delivery bull, fitting dimensions, tilt ergonomics… I am very happy with my new Fridgemaster fridge freezer (in black). It has lots of great fridge shelf height options, the freezer has a great capacity and the chilled water dispenser is an added bonus. So far, I’ve not had any condensation or frost build up, and I don’t expect any as this wa sone of the reasons I bought this unit ??????????????????
