Good, long cycles, tumble drier is good

So far so good, there’s a lot of programs with very long cycles, some 8/9+ hours!!! There’s a quick wash, then next is 3 hours, wish there was something inbetween. The larger drum size is useful & the tumble drier is really good.

I'm a big fan of Hotpoint. Easy to use. Washing is okay, but hasn't spun a couple of washes, they have come out soaking. What is the point in buying a 9kg machine when it doesn't spin if it's full (less than 9kg). Drying takes hours if you want dry towels or bedding, but come out really soft. Instructions are poor, lots of signs on the panel that are unexplained in the instructions. They are really not helpful.

Huge improvement on my last washer dryer. Much much quieter, no bouncing around. The drying option does cause an occasional juddering sound (as mentioned in other reviews) but we only hear it when we’re in the same room. To be honest it’s easily ignored once you realise it’s just what it does. I was shocked at how long the programmes take but once you look at new machines you realise all brands are the same. However, once the instructions are understood, you can have a quick 1 hour wash on the intense cycle, or one and a half on the synthetic cycle. The 30 min wash is ideal for a small ‘worn once’ wash. It works really well for freshening up soft toys. Be aware that the ‘quick’ cycles only offer 1000 spin but as it’s so much more efficient than my last machine it’s fine. You can always select a quick 10 mins spin at a 1400 afterwards if needed. The drying options are excellent but I just don’t get why there isn’t a straightforward dryer button. However, it just takes a bit of time to grasp the process then you’re away. The quick wash and dry is perfect for underwear. As with all machines you will stick with 3 or 4 programmes for everything but there is plenty of choice. The black/grey works really well in my kitchen, wasn’t sure at first but very pleased with it once installed. I do love this machine but dropped a star for complicated instructions and extremely long wash cycles but by no means a deal breaker once you work your way round the instructions. I’m very pleased with my choice.

    Not Bad At All

Good overall washer/dryer. The only fly in the ointment is that it requires a small "sip" of water from the mains when drying which means that if in your house you can hear when a tap come on from you pipes then every 30 seconds or so for the entire drying cycle you get a "clonk". For the record our house is ancient so this may not apply to the vast majority of people.
