A £500+ tumble dryer should last longer than 3 days
1/5
The next day delivery was impressive. All arrive and installed as planned. First use of the machine also impressive, quiet, it took quite a long time but we were in no hurry. The first four loads were fine, then on the fifth load, just three days after delivery, the dryer gave a huge whirring noise and two error codes. It now doesn't work at all.
Not impressive!
On the day it failed I got on to the AO website to find absolutely no after sales services, instead only a referral to the manufacturer, Hotpoint.
To be fair to them, Hotpoint sending an engineer but not until next week, but having spent £500+ on a tumble dryer I had expected that it would last longer than 3 days!
I do think that AO should be more responsible for the faulty goods, not just palm it off to the manufacturer. No scope for asking for a refund!
I await with interest to see what becomes of Hotpoint's service.
