Our Dyson had become by less and effective despite repairs and servicing. We decided to switch brand and after investigation settled on a Shark being its replacement. Well, Suction: far far superior, Weight: lighter, Manoeuvrability: not quite as good as the ball design of the previous Dyson but offset by being lighter as can detach from main body and use as a ‘handheld’ unit, Cable: longer, Tools: on par but more secure, Dirt chamber: smaller but easier to use/empty. In short the Shark wins hands down.

Small, light weight, easy to get into those corners. So easy to empty and clean. Very pleased with my buy. Recommended on various ‘top 10’ and very much lives up to it. Love it!

Well designed product with nice features and the light wait makes for ease of use.

Brilliant vacuum cleaner, I could not believe the difference in performance between this and our previous 'market leader' model. Had considered a cordless model but the generous lead length means its equally convenient to use and in portable mode is really light to carry.

Product is amazing

Light, practical and good suction. We decided to try the Shark after ten years of using a Dyson. Its easy lift away chamber is a must for dusty curtains and you can get up close with the pistol grip. My wife has asthma and in a single glazed listed property with a large dog in an out each day, we also needed something with good filters, and again, the shark works well there too. It's a clever, practical design able to get down lower under sofa's and chairs that the Dyson was too bulky for. What's more the dog would hide during the Dyson use, the Shark is so much quieter and Rufus is happy to continue his sleep. Very impressed.
