I read the reviews and particularly the not so good ones and felt that I could accept the minor issues raised I have just had 3 identical other brand vacuums in 2 years and the same problem happened with each one. I have given up with that brand. Shark has a 5 year guarantee, Good reviews, 5 metre lead and it will fit in the cupboard under my stairs - bonus. It is easy to manoeuvre, easy to empty, very quiet (daughter thought I hadn't turned it on) and has a strong suction - with lights on - wow. The whole unit is heavy but there is no need to lift it around. I was worried it might be difficult to push (a review comment) as my wrists aren't the strongest, but it is actually very easy unless you have a very long pile carpet or lose fitting lino. My only problem is a small, long Pile rug that the dog lies on. The Shark wants to devour it, so I put it on low suck and hard floor but still have to be careful and not go to the edges - or get hubby to weight 2 of the corners down! The stair function was good. Will probably get better with use. I am still a novice with a Shark (only 1 week of ownership). Totally recommend.

I moved into a new home and needed a Hoover that picked up all the dirt. I was amazed and greatly surprised how much fluff dirt and dust it picked up. It was very satisfying emptying the Hoover and then almost instantly off I went again. The attachments were very easy to use and they got into all the books and crannies. I would definitely recommend this Hoover .

Fast delivery, light vacuum, powerful action, easy to put together and empty

Very powerful suction available when needed, this does make it difficult to manoeuvre on carpet however this is simply remedied by turning it down. Particularly like the lift away feature for stairs & hard to get to areas. Slight problem with re-engaging the lift away after use. Otherwise delighted with this product.

I have a shark cleaner but is a bit heavy but this one is slightly lighter which is a lot better, just what I needed
