It is efficient and the pan support grids are of heavy quality. I had side controls on my old hob, so am still adjusting to having them on the front! If you have a wok or large frying pan, it will obscure the left-hand knob, and even make it rather hot, but not a huge problem. If you need to use all four hobs at once, you will need to do some adjusting of pans. The fitted kitchen cupboard below needed to be moved forward to accommodate this hob, so the gas engineer will need to be aware of this. I am pleased with my new Bosch hob after 11 years of my old one, which I had disfigured by leaving kitchen cleaner on overnight, inadvertently. Beware!
