Looks smart, cleans well and the different sized rings work well.

Similar to the other review on here, all of the logo detail and markers for the rings had started to wear off after only a month or two. The base is also permanently tarnished, as the finish on the metal doesn't seem to be able to withstand anything hot touching it, which is an odd flaw for a hob. Mine is now tarnished with many small splash marks of dull grey and there are now two large dull grey splodges that no amount of cleaning will remove. It is very unsightly and looks dirty, even when clean. I contacted them to make a complaint and they told me there was nothing they would do as it was all cosmetic damage, and they were unable to take a complaint from me. If I wanted to make a formal complaint, I would have to write in.

I am disappointed with this Hob as after using it for fee months “hotpoint” sign on the hob has disappeared and this looks very scruffy. Also marks around round corks to put a gas on has started disappearing too which is very annoying. I have also notice little rasty marks and I only use damped cloth to clean the hob making sure the hob is dry after cleaning it.

Bought this hob as wanted something with sturdy pan support and this is made of cast iron. The hob is very solid and feels very safe cooking on the top and my previous hob the pans slid across it. I would recommend this hob i have also purchased the Hotpoint electric oven to match.

Solid chunky statement hob. Well balanced and synchronised design with the hob controls centred at the front of the hob rather than offset or at the side which is pleasing to my eye. The wok burner can be turned right down to give an edge to edge uniform slow heat to a cast iron pan full of chilli or stew rather than just the middle but keep an eye on it though it will automatically cut out if the heat source is too low. Slightly bulky but not too domineering cast iron pan supports which I hope clean easily. All in all I am well pleased!
