Mediocre build, poor moisture ventilation
1/5
Disadvantages: Cheaply made, and if you use a microwave frequently, buy something better. The clear cover over the soft touch started bubbling up over the Start and Stop button after a couple of weeks.
You either need perfect eyesight, or need to memorize the position of the control buttons you use, as even in our bright kitchen it is not easy to make out the pale grey writing on the dark grey background. Whose daft idea was that pseudo 'trendy' colour combination and thin font?
For various reasons we only started using this microwave when it only had a couple of months left on the guarantee and now after only about 5 month's use, the turntable machine seems to be no longer fitting perfectly into the spindle, so it grinds and jolts its way around. It is also noticeably bad at venting moisture. After heating exactly the same foods in the same containers for the same length of time as in our previous (DeLonghi) microwave, the Sharp interior is dripping with moisture - literally! And no, we haven't got the vents blocked up in any way.
Advantages: Small and compact and cheap.
It has a grey interior rather than white which makes it look dull.
You get what you pay for I guess.
