More compact but can still hold a dinner plate. Easy to use, especially if you read the book and good looking too.

I am thoroughly delighted with my Sharp R220SLM 20 Litre Microwave - it's is without doubt the best microwave I've had for for years. (My last one was a Russell Hobbs and the lining peeled off after 18 months and finally shorted as there was rust under the plate. It was difficult to clean.) This is SO easy to keep clean and is very energy efficient.
