Do not recommend Samsung products

Our new samsung fridge freezer broke after 2 months. An engineer finally came to inspect the fridge 10 DAYS after it broke. The engineer confirmed the fridge broke due to a technical issue. After 11 days of being without a fridge, we have at last been okayed to arrange a new fridge for ourselves (this was at 5pm on a Friday so we will likely be without a fridge for at least another 4 days). Samsung have also finally been open with us about their compensation for food spoilage (previously they just kept repeating they don't deal with that yet). Samsung told us that they will only compensate us for £50 despite the fact that our fridge was fully stocked with food, so lots of food wastage, no compensation for the extra costs of living without a fridge (ie needing to buy smaller more expensive food items) or inconvenience. To really seal this bad experience we have had to chase samsung at each step of their repair/refund process due to their inadequate response times. This is a fundamental problem with samsung's policies and does not provide adequate protection or support to us as consumers and I am shocked that a well established brand takes this approach.
Samsung's actions have been substandard, and I would never recommend their products due to this negative experience.
