Avoid Hisense products. Warranty is void if you swap the door hinge

The fridge freezer came with the door hanging on the right, we followed the simple instructions to hang on the left, the way we want the fridge door to open. However, the electrical cable to power the front control panel on the left side does not work. It is a simple plug and play. The door still opens and closes correctly. After having the fridge freezer on for a while we notice the freezer starting to frost over and note a slight compression in the door seal. We reported both issues to Hisense as per AO instructions and after weeks of being bumped around, they are stating it is an installation fault and a chargeable repair. We complain to AO, not getting anywhere with Hisense, and all they do is act as a support person on the phone to Hisense. Our action now is pay for a professional installation engineer to come and confirm that the cable is faulty before they can address that and the frost issue. It is highly disappointing and frustrating that Hisense are trying to wiggle out of their warranty responsibility when it is a clear electrical fault with the product. Safe to say we will not be buying any Hisense products again.
