Samsung tall freezer - brilliant
5/5
It has four large easy sliding drawers then 3 open shelves above - the top one has a drop down cover you slide out and drop down to cover contents but I doubt I’ll ever use it. It’s thin plastic. The door has two racks you could store things like butter with enough space for 3 each side by side on each rack. There is a slim line ice maker beneath the racks - you pour cold water in, allow it to freeze then pull a handle and 14 small ice cubes drop into a tray. Doubt I’ll ever use it. It has a bright LED light that is efficient. It’s whisper quiet
The plug comes out of the top of the freezer and the flex is about 6 feet long so measure carefully as distance from socket could be critical. It’s two shades of silver. The front is light silver but the sides are more of a graphite shade - it wasn’t a problem for us. The handle mechanism is brilliant. You open the door by pulling slightly to one side. Two lugs pop out from from top and bottom of the 20 inch handle and push against the freezer side to break the vacuum seal. Some freezers don’t have this feature and could in theory topple or slide forward. You have to screw on the handle but it’s easy to do. The door comes hinged on the left but with fittings to swap it over. Had I needed to swap it over I’d have paid extra to let the delivery team do it for me. Using my smart meter I can say it uses about 67 watts of power so it’s cheap to run. It replaced a large chest freezer big enough to contain a body - I’ll have to buy a spade….
