Poor design in use, gets waaaay to hot

Bought to replace an equivalent sized smeg induction hob, not a patch on that in the least. Glass plate is hot in use, not just the area with the element, which are accidents waiting to happen and instant visit to A&E, the whole glass area gets too hot to touch.
Wish I hadn't bothered with it.
