Fantastic Hotpoint Class 4 SI4854HIX Built In Electric Single Oven!!

This oven is now fitted and in full use and so far is proving an excellent product easy to use and producing very nicely cooked foods. It is supplied with 2 trays (a drip tray and baking tray), one grill pan set and one wire shelf. Our older oven had 2 wire shelves but this comes with only one.
We like the pre heat function that raises the temperature to the required heat and then gives an audible ping to let you know to place the food in the oven at the desired temperature. A time will appear showing how long the food has been heating or you can set the end cooking time as well.
It has several functions as follows:
Conventional: Any dish can be cooked but on one shelf only
Grill: Wire shelf for grilling steaks, kebabs vegetables etc. Drip tray filled with some water can be used to place below the wire shelf to collect the cooking juices
Forced Air: This is the important one that we use the most, we do our Thursday fish and chips with breaded mushrooms and puffs all together on max 3 different shelves at the same time and same temp. The odour's don't transfer from one food to the other. we also do the Sunday lunch pizza, kiesh and garlic bread. We have also cooked cottage pies and Sheppard's pies, very good!!
Convection Bake: For cooking meat, baking cakes but on one shelf only. It gently circulates the air so the food does not dry out.
There are many other automatic functions like Casserole, Meat, Maxi Cooking (auto select temp for cooking), Bread, Pizza, Pastry Cakes etc
In addition there are also special functions for Fast Preheating, Turbo Grill, Eco, Keep warm, Rising that we are yet to use.
One very important reason why we also bought this particular oven is has a function "Diamond Clean" whereby a cleaning cycle releases steam at low temp to remove dirt and food residues.
