Great kettle and looks good

Contrary to the specification, the water gauge under the handle is very difficult to see and I was unable to tell how much water was in the kettle. The gauge appears to start at 4 cups (not cost-effective) whereas most have a minimum of 2. And yes, I only know this by having taken a photo and zooming in! The instructions claim you can fill the kettle through the spout, but the spout is so small that the water immediately sprays back out again. The kettle is heavy, and the item I received had slight scratches on the lid and what appeared to be a watermark on the handle. I do not recommend it.
