Perfect compact air fryer unit from Tower.
4/5
It’s early days yet as I’ve only used this fryer twice but the results so far are astounding. The build quality and materials are of a high standard and the operating system is very clear and intuitive.
This is the second air fryer I’ve owned , my first being a first generation regal fryer with a round cooking pan and paddle . This tower unit is light years ahead , and coped easily with chipped potatoes and chicken thighs in a chili honey coating with sesame . Despite the last being of a sticky consistency they were crisp and perfectly cooked after 25 minutes at 180 degrees . A big plus however was the cleaning . The non stick coating of the pan ( with see through panel which enhanced the cooking process ) and inner tray were easily cleaned with warm water washing liquid and a soft sponge . The sauce was baked on but lifted away with ease . The entire cooking process used hardly any power and was very simple . The ability to illuminate the cooking zone and check through the see through panel was one feature I really liked , and the compact size of the tower cooker means it sits tidily and unobtrusively on the work surface . I’m really looking forward to cooking more adventurous dishes in the fryer , and will be seeking out a suitable recipe book to give me ideas for dishes to try . I will also try baking in the near future , so let’s see what the tower oven can do with a lemon drizzle cake recipe . In all a first class addition to my kitchen , at a bargain price making this available to all household budgets . The build and ease of use really make it worthy of five and not four stars , but time will tell and I want to rate this item on performance so far . Well done Tower ! .
