Bought to replace a 33 year old vented hoover tumble dryer. Clothes came out of it bone dry. I was concerned about energy usage so miele heat pump technology with A+++ seemed to tick that box.
Firstly, love the light in the drum. On first couple of uses I noticed that it didn't take as long to dry the laundry as the machine initially predicted. It was roughly the same time as my old dryer. Also the laundry wasn't bone dry, it was dry but not "crispy". This has made folding and ironing much easier, especially towels, bed linen and tee shirts. Hung one shirt up straight from the dryer to test whether it would need ironing, not a crease.
Emptying the water container is a new one on me so can't comment on that. The two fluff filters are pretty straightforward, I noticed that there is alot less fluff than I was used to.
The fragrance flacon it came with is nice but if you use unstopables then it's not very noticeable.
So far I am really pleased with it. Quite a few settings available that are not shown on the dial, so keep the instructions near. All in all it is an expensive piece of kit but if it does last 20 years, save on the electricity and be gentler on laundry, it should be a good buy.
