I am dubious of 'touch-screen' stuff these days. Our cooker hob is a pain to use and so is our tumble dryer, and we've had to replace the panel on the dishwasher shortly after purchase. The touch technology seems to have a mind of its own in most cases and is temperamental at best. But I really wanted a kettle that had a variable temperature and I decided to trust the reviews I had seen for this product. And I'm glad I did.
The touch-screen (if can I call it that) is superb. It also gives out audible 'clicks' when you touch any of the buttons, which I find very comforting as you know that you have actually done something. Also, the slider bar works very well, too. So if you are a touch-screen sceptic like I am then you can rest easy with this kettle - the stuff works and works very well.
For the other things - it looks good and is well-balanced to hold (I didn't even know a kettle could be well balanced!). It's also insulated so it doesn't scold ones hand when one is stupid enough to touch the body of the kettle after boiling.
I have no regrets with this purchase and I want my family and friends to come over to see it so I can instil kettle-envy into them.
