Smart-looking, matches other Bosch small appliances. This upgrade moves the power switch and temperature selector to the baseplate. The top is no longer flat, because the lid opening button protrudes from the lid surface. So no way to steam-heat an inverted cup on the lid any more; -probably not recommended anyway. Heating is rapid, and there's a useful "hold hot" function. "Finish" audible signal is loud and clear. Four stars because as other reviewers have noted, it is noisy when heating up. On balance, I recommend this product.

Great kettle exactly what I was after. Heat settings make all the difference

Makes an excellent cup of coffee and reaches the temperature quickly my only criticism would be that even with only enough water for a couple of cups it is quite heavy.
