Beko Under Counter Freezer - somewhat disappointing
3/5
The Beko freezer was bought to replace a Creda, about 15 years old with failing insulation.
The Creda had four compartments and the drawers were stout wire baskets.
The Beko has three compartments which is not so convenient. The drawers are all plastic and feel rather flimsy, especially the top fast freezer door hinges. The ice drawer inside the top compartment is a poor fit and of little practical use.
There is an adjustable thermostat which the user is required to set, but when the freezer is in use positioned under counter and filled with food access to the thermostat dial is far from easy.
I was surprised to find no lamps indicating that the freezer in 'on' and is down to working temperature (or not).
I shall have to buy a thermometer that will read down to -20 deg C so that I can set the working temperature - I not had to do this before.
