Machine noticeably quieter than previous machines, main thing is love the silent automatic opening when finished. Would like the drying part of the cycle to be stronger.

After a lot of investigation, and reading reviews, we decided on the AEG 5000. It’s a bit more expensive than many, but we wanted something really good that will last for years. The cleaning is way above what I have experienced with other makes, it is quiet and economical. The slimline version is ideal for 3 people, the cutlery tray I’d better than the basket option, and the way the rotating cleaning heads work seem to clean from every angle. My better half, who is a cleaning fanatic, has been so impressed with this I wished we had bought this 10 years ago. Definitely a really good purchase decision, would purchase again. I hope this helps someone make a good purchase.

I was a little wary ordering this dishwasher as it had no reviews and I rely on reviews when making purchases but ordered it anyway, now wishing I hadn't. It washes well enough but the drying is awful, I have to put the crockery on the dish rack for it to dry and the cutlery tray is always dripping with water, I tried it without the air dry feature to see if it made any difference but it didn't, it's always soaking wet inside. I now have to use a tea towel on my cutlery to avoid water marks. Having to put my crockery on the draining board to dry for an hour or so before putting it away makes having a dishwasher pretty pointless really. My previous dishwasher was a cheap model and lasted 13 years, it washed and dried far better than this one. The saying "buy cheap buy twice" doesn't always apply, this dishwasher is expensive but poor quality. I won't ever buy an AEG one again. I'd like to add there is an inaccurate description too, there is no sliding scale along the top as shown, the top is blank so I suspect they've mixed up the models.
