Review of AEG 9kg Heat Pump Tumble dryer. I've only had it for a week so it's early days. So far I'm impressed. Electricity use is averaging around 20p a load (based on 26p per kWh). It seems to do the job well. Laundry is dried well without being too dry. Docked one star for the following reasons. 1. I think it's quite noisy - fortunately the location we have it means noise is not too much of a problem, but depending on your situation it's worth bearing in mind that it makes quite a racket! 2. The app functionality is not great. It's OK but not at all impressive. I find the interface clunky and a bit pointless. Luckily, having the app is not very important to me; having tried it I'll probably not bother with it going forward. The only real value I find is having a notification when it's finished but that's not enough reason to have it. I wish manufacturers would pay more attention to app functions. It feels like they've made the bare minimum effort to be able to say it has an app!!

Having finally decided to take the plunge and get a tumble dryer, I looked into several makes/models to find one that would be both effective, but also efficient. This model came at the top or pretty near the top of most reviews, so I bought it. I've got it set up in my office, which is over a car port. I only have a small kitchen and didn't want to put it in the garage due to temperature fluctuations. I have got it on a set of feet that raise it off the ground to allow air to flow underneath. I tend to shut the door and open the window when using it, but it doesn't generate any condensation, which is also something that was important to me. I've used it a couple of time now and even on the most basic function it is brilliant! It quickly dries a mix of things, which is ideal for me as I only have a couple of loads of washing a week. It is also great at drying bedding and towels, which was the main reason why I wanted it. All in all, I am very pleased with this. It's efficient and seems to be gentle on the clothes, which is another plus. I've also checked my electricity usage and it's not to bad considering I can have a load washed and dried within a morning or afternoon! I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a heat pump dryer. The fact that it was a great price on AO made it even better and their delivery service is fantastic!
