Accept & closeFind out everything you need to know about our LPG cooker installation service.
Installation isn’t a problem for our fully trained team who’ll get your new LPG cooker set up on delivery day. Our team are Gas Safe registered, so you know we have high standards. We’ll have your cooker ready to use when we leave, and you can even get a gas safety certificate. Find out what’s included in this service and what you can do to prepare for us.
We’ll get your cooker set up as soon as possible. Here’s everything we’ll take care of.
There’re just a few things we need you to do and check before delivery day. We’ll talk you through everything on our pre-installation call.
You’ll need to check that your new cooker comes with an LPG kit. Just look on the Key Information tab on our product pages. It doesn’t? No worries. We’ll contact you and put you through to the manufacturer to order the kit you need.
The space around your hob is called the Hot Zone and you need to make sure it’s free from switches, cooker hoods and anything flammable like wallpaper. There needs to be a gap of at least 75cm between the hob and the cooker hood or ceiling above. We’ll ask about the Hot Zone when we call, but If it isn’t clear of hazards when we arrive, we may not be able to install your cooker. Make sure you follow pre-installation instructions for your cooker from the product manufacturer’s website.
The room the cooker is going in will need direct ventilation outside. This can be a cooker hood extraction or just a window.
Make sure that your LPG tank is full enough for us to test everything after installation.
There’ll also need to be a 3-pin socket or cooker point (big red switch) within 1.5 metres of where your new cooker is going.
Make sure your current electrical connection (plug socket or big red switch) matches what your new cooker needs. If your new cooker is over 3kw, then you’ll need a 16Amp or 32Amp fuse - a big red switch. If your new cooker is below 3kw, then you’ll only need a standard 12Amp fuse – a regular plug socket.
Compare what you have with the details of your new cooker on the Key Information tab on our product pages to make sure you’re all set.
While you’re on the Key Information section on our product pages, it’s worth checking the dimensions of your new cooker, just to make sure you’ve got enough space in your kitchen.
