Almost feels like we bought a second hand oven
3/5
A little disappointed with this oven really. Received it less than two weeks ago and already trying to figure out the warranty service because the grill element may be faulty. It quickly gets glowing red hot on the peripheral outer ring but the inner part (the M shaped part of the element that sits above the entire inner part of the grill pan) remains black for more than five minutes. Even when it does get hot it doesn't get as bright as the outer part. I'm about to put a video of it onto YouTube because I want to ask other owners if it's normal before contacting AO for service.
We previously had a Beko oven that was very similar. This design is improved in a few ways. The clock is bigger for example, and the thermostat indicator for the main oven is built into the LED display. The knobs and temperature indicators are bigger and more visible, but there is no painted marker on the knobs, just grooves, so you have to 'feel' that the knobs are in the correct position when using the oven and grill. We are going to have to cut out little white stickers and put them on the knobs. It seems ridiculous that Beko approved of this shortcoming really.
Beko Quality Control also seems worse. Apart from the aforementioned problem with the grill element, there is a visible scratch on the inside of the clock panel. This is not a huge deal but when you pay this much for an oven you'd think that it would have been spotted by QC staff and fixed.
